Keeping a spare key in your car in Baltimore is an extremely bad idea. I’ve never had my home broken into, but I’ve had my car broken into multiple times.

I have a number of contingencies, and they all fell through. Sometimes shit happens.

word of homeownerly advice: have a locksmith’s number saved in your phone.

keeping a spare key in your car’s glove box is also handy, and calling AAA to unlock your car to get your housekey is probably cheaper & easier in the long run than calling a locksmith. or getting entangled with the police for breaking into your own home.

Trust me dude, the set of complications that lead to this actually happening was a list as long as my forearm. That one being on there. It was one of the most /facepalm embarrassing nights ever. I’m normally an extremely careful, well planned out person. Which is probably why I beat myself up about it.

probably better quality rollers or more paint or something like that? but yeah, i feel you. painting exhausts me after about 4 minutes.

clean bathrooms? hrmmm… mine are FUNCTIONAL. does that count for anything? cleaning bathrooms is overrated. they just get dirty again in like 7 seconds.

Hey, as long as the bathrooms are clean, it’s all good man.

I actually need to make some decisions about swapping in better fixtures and whatnot in the bathrooms. The seller put the cheapest crap available in there. I want brushed nickel and better lighting. That and I have to paint them.

Let me take a look at the blog when I get a minute here. I have a few tweaks I’ve been meaning to make to it. Might not get to it right away, as I may be preparing for a hard drive re-install that could take up some of my free time this week. That and I gotta paint a bedroom.

i’ve been in my place for THREE YEARS and still haven’t redone my bathrooms. how dare you one up me. TO HOME DEPOT TONIGHT TO REGAIN MY DIGNITY!

good job on the siding. paying people do so simple shit is weak. i’d rather pay a maid to clean every few weeks and then redo my bathrooms myself.

also: dude, why isn’t there an “email when more people comment” function on this blog? i wanna be part of the continuing conversation!
